INTEGRATING THE MOVEMENT PRACTICES OF YOGA + THE LIFESTYLE PRACTICES OF AYURVEDA = SATTVA STRONG

The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘Yuj’, meaning ‘to join’, ‘to yoke’, or ‘to unite’. According to the Yogic scriptures, the practice of Yoga leads to the union of individual consciousness with Universal Consciousness, indicating perfect harmony between the mind, body, and breath.

The word ‘Ayurveda’ translates to “science of life.” It’s a Sanskrit word derived from “ayur” (life) and “veda” (knowledge or science). Ayurveda is an ancient system of traditional medicine that emphasizes the balance of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Dinacharya is derived from the Sanskrit words “dina” (day) and “acharya” (activity).

Sattva Strong

Discover a harmonious blend of yoga and Ayurveda for a balanced lifestyle that is unique to YOU. Embrace wellness through movement and holistic practices at Sattva Strong.

Ayurveda is often referred to as the sister science of yoga. Both yoga and Ayurveda offer ways to heal, cleanse, and rejuvenate the body, mind, and spirit.

The name Sattva Strong refers to the Maha Gunas: Sattva (balance/contentment), Rajas (activity/passion), and Tamas (inertia/darkness), which relate to our mental health. However, unlike our three doshas (vata, pitta, and kapha), our three maha gunas aren’t fixed. The term “Gunas” pertains to the three fundamental qualities that exist in everything around us, including the food we eat and the activities we pursue and engage in.

I’d love to work with you to find, cultivate, and nourish your Sattvic Self.
